Our Philosophy

Arena Weapon Arts has adopted a pragmatic approach to learning the art of historical fencing - while we study and work from the manuscripts, we don’t take a rigid or dogmatic approach to our training.

With consistent, competition-intensity pressure testing of our skills and techniques, along with constraints-based drills backed by established sports science, our fighters are able to pick up a sword from day one and quickly develop the skills necessary to reach their goals - whether it’s competing in tournaments or having fun and getting fit while learning historical combat arts.

Our Club

From humble beginnings, Arena Weapon Arts has grown into the largest HEMA club in the state of Texas. As our membership continues to grow, we look forward to fostering more of the camaraderie, fighting spirit, and dedication that has made Arena what it is today.

In addition, Arena is putting down stakes in Buffalo, NY and New Braunfels, TX as some of our members start new club chapters - stay tuned for more information as these plans develop!
